The Test Pilots (Deadly Rhytms, 2015) - Dynamite Magazine, Jun 2015
For all of you who don't understand German language here's the translation of the review of the band's EP from Dynamite Magazine.

Test Pilots? The Gothenburg trio rather gives the impression that one is dealing with experienced aerobatic pilots.

Guitarist Tony's quick and clever skills on the fingerboard are extraordinary on their own, not only because of the tempo but also because the harmonies exceed the standard repertory. His sound is very distinct.

The combination of outstanding musical technique with the energy and the snotty attitude of Psychobilly, especially in the vocals, makes songs like “Far Beyond Hell”, a track that dates back to the previous combo of Joe Hellraiser and the Graverobbin' Bastards, completely irresistible.

The rhythm section drives without being forceful. Parts like the instrumental middle of “Blues In Zest” hint at how stimulating The Test Pilots might sound live. They already had the chance to gain experience at respective events.

Whether the three Swedes approach turbulent Rockabilly (“Cheap Romance”) or indulge in subtle melancholic Neo-Rockabilly with Psycho elements, like in the superb title song, they always succeed in transferring the virtues of the 80's into 2015.

The four songs from the EP sound like the internalization of the genre's traditions and at the same time utterly fresh.

This maiden flight deserves nothing less than the full marks.
